Just a few days ago, WR Mack Hollins returned to practice after missing a large portion of the spring and preseason recovering from sports hernia surgery. Apparently he reaggravated his injury, as Doug Pederson announced today that Hollins will miss Friday’s game against the Falcons.
Head coach Doug Pederson on WR Mack Hollins: “A little bit of a minor setback so we made the decision to keep him out of this football game.” No Hollins and no Alshon Jeffery for Falcons. Markus Wheaton signed for depth at WR

The team signed Markus Wheaton to fill-in for Hollins. Wheaton was with the club all preseason, but didn’t make the initial 53-man roster.
The team needs all the receiver help it can get, since Alshon Jeffery is already set to miss at least the first two games of the season. Nick Foles and company might play sloppy for the first few drives or even longer, as most of the receivers for Thursday’s game weren’t playing with the team t this point last season.
#Eagles WRs for Thursday:
Mike Wallace, Nelson Agholor, Shelton Gibson, Markus Wheaton, DeAndre Carter.
So 4 out of the 5 expected to dress for the game didn't play in Week 1 last season for the team.
Would expect to see a lot of Dallas Goedert in this game.#ATLvsPHI

Expect Foles to rely heavily on his favorite target TE Zach Ertz Thursday night.
