With Carson Wentz still recovering from his torn ACL and Alshon Jeffery recovering from his torn rotator cuff, the Eagles were already starting the season depleted. Now the team has found out another receiver will be out a while, as the team announced today that WR Mack Hollins will be placed on IR.

A few days ago the team signed WR Markus Wheaton to take Hollins’ place on the roster because they knew he would be missing at least the Falcons game. It sounds Hollins reaggrevated his sports hernia injury pretty badly since the team decided to place him on IR.
Each NFL team is only allowed to take two players off their IR during the season. Hollins is a pretty good candidate to be one of those players if he is healthier later in the season.
