Eagles Bring Back DeAndre Carter

With Rodney McLeod expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn MCL, the obvious move for the franchise was to place him on injured reserve. That is exactly what the team did yesterday, insuring that if McLeod does somehow have a faster recovery, he would still need to miss at least the next eight weeks.

In a corresponding move, the team brought back WR DeAndre Carter to the 53 man roster.

Carter was one of the few players who stood out during the preseason, and surprisingly made the initial 53 man roster at the beginning of the season. He recorded 1 catch for 10 yards in the season opener against Atlanta, but had no production against the Buccaneers and ended up being released by the team two weeks ago.

With Alshon Jeffery being cleared for contact this week and considered to possibly be back for the Titans game, it is interesting to think that the team felt a need to bring Carter back. Jeffery has a 24-48 hour illness that might keep him for making his debut.

If Carter does end up seeing the field during the Titans game or for future games, it’ll be easy to root for a player who has been through a lot, but was still able to keep a promise he made to his late brother.
