Eagles Place Jay Ajayi on IR

In a curious move, the Eagles have placed starting running back Jay Ajayi on Injured Reserve.

Ajayi had been playing with a fractured back, but apparently this is due to a torn ACL he suffered in the Vikings game, and now his season is over.

This is a curious move because after the game, Ajayi was clamoring for more carries, even though he had a costly fumble in the redzone in the Vikings game.

With Ajayi being placed on IR, Corey Clement dealing with a quad issue and Darren Sproles still recovering from a hamstring injury, the trade for Le’Veon Bell rumors will now be running rampant.
