It’s no secret that Howie Roseman wants to add a player or two via trade. The Eagles have some holes on the roster thanks to injuries, but in all likelihood Roseman will be trying to fill at least one of those holes with a trade before the October 30th trade deadline. Roseman might be able to kill two birds with one stone if he calls Jon Gruden.

If the Eagles wanted to, they could trade for both Amari Cooper and Karl Joseph in one big deal to fill most of their holes.
Cooper would step right in and take Mike Wallace’s role in the offense. Him on the filed at the same time as Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz would have Carson Wentz foaming at the mouth.
Karl Joseph could come in and take Rodney McLeod’s spot in the Secondary, which would put Corey Graham back in his natural role as 3rd Safety. This would also allow Avonte Maddox back in his natural spot as the team’s back-up Slot-CornerBack.
Adding both Cooper and Joseph would mean taking on a cap-hit of ~$10 Million. It would be a tight squeeze to fit under the cap, so the Eagles might need to trade at least one player to the Raiders to make sure they can fit the new additions under the cap.
It might end up costing a king’s ransom to add both players, as the Raiders don’t seem interested in letting Cooper leave the team without getting great value for him.

Adding two potential impact-players in one trade wouldn’t be easy, but there’s no doubt that if both players are indeed available at the right price, Howie Roseman will be on the phone trying to make it happen.
If Amari Cooper is indeed on the trading block, that sound you hear is the Howie Roseman siren. His ideal type of target.
