The Eagles had a very good day one with the selection of Devonta Smith, but now it’s time for them to continue rebuilding. They were on the right path and took the necessary steps in making sure they get their guy on night one, and then they made a couple of interesting choices on day two.
Round Two
2.37: Landon Dickerson, IOL, Alabama
With the selection of Landon Dickerson, the Eagles get a center/guard that can help improve their run game, and help protect Jalen Hurts going into the future.
The first thing you notice about Dickerson is his character and leadership amongst his teammates. When put in the National championship game for the final snap, even when injured, all of his teammates congratulated him and gave him a hug. The character and leadership he brings, along with his high level of play, is going to be a big key for the Eagles this season and beyond.
3.73: Milton Williams, IDL, Louisiana Tech
Milton Williams was a late addition to people’s rankings leading up to the draft, but I’m so glad he got on my radar. He has an incredible motor that allows him to be a dominant pass rusher and run stopper.
The Eagles have a fantastic run stopper with Fletcher Cox, but adding pressure on the quarterback is going to put ease on the secondary, which currently seems to be the team's weakest position. Williams is going to be a dominant pass rusher for the Eagles defensive line, and I’m excited to see how he does going forward.
