The Eagles are losing some depth on the offensive line, as the Tennessee Titans are signing T Andre Dillard.
The Eagles traded up in the 2019 NFL Draft to select Dillard. He never really got the chance to play in midnight green. He sat behind Jason Peters in 2019 with an occasional spot start when Peters was injured. Then, in 2020 when he was supposed to take over as starting LT he tore his biceps in training camp and missed the entire season.
By the point in 2021 when he was healthy Jordan Mailata had developed well enough that he supplanted Dillard on the depth chart and Mailata never let go of the starting LT spot.
Dillard played a total of 43 games for the Eagles, mostly contributing on special teams. Though he did have nine career starts and 714 total snaps on offense.
The 27-year-old will now get a chance to start at LT for the Titans.
The Eagles only have Jack Driscoll on the roster right now as the backup to Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson. Expect the Eagles to address the hole with a cheap veteran or a late-round draft pick.
