Earlier tonight, the Philadelphia Eagles acquired running back Jordan Howard from the Chicago Bears in exchange for a conditional 6th-round draft pick in 2020.
News of the trade brought elation to Eagles fans, but on the other side of the coin, Bears fans aren't too pleased that their team got rid of a former pro bowl running back for a late-round draft pick. Fans aren't the only ones upset though, as Bears players are chiming in that they are shocked and pissed off upon knowing Howard is heading for Philly.
First it was Kyle Long, brother of Eagles defensive end Chris Long, who tweeted this four minutes after the trade was announced:
Pro Bowl defensive end Akiem Hicks wasn't pleased to hear the news either, as he responded to Brandon Brooks' tweet that praised Howie Roseman.
Former Bears safety Adrian Amos also chimed in and declared that the Eagles got a steal.
It looks like the Eagles have their second win over the Chicago Bears in 2019 (if you don't remember, this play helped the Bird get their first win). The Eagles play the Bears at home during the regular season too, so they have a chance at getting a third win over their NFC foe in less than a calendar year.
