The Eagles head into Week 2 with their fan base boiling in rage. They'll need a quick turnaround this weekend against the Rams, or else there will be chaos in Philadelphia. In our Week 1 bold predictions article, none of our writers connected on their prediction. We'll see if any of our predictions can connect this week and be paired with an Eagles victory. Here's what our writers are thinking:
Andrew W: Everyone is (rightfully) scared of Aaron Donald and the Rams d-line after witnessing Carson Wentz get hit countless times last Sunday. I say a combination of better o-line play and smarter plays by Wentz (throw the damn ball away!) means that the Rams only collect two or fewer sacks.
Caitlin: Carson Wentz gets sacked just three times, while Miles Sanders scores two touchdowns in his return. Eagles 23 - Rams 20.
Travis: Jalen Reagor and DeSean Jackson will EACH have receptions of 50+ yards.
Trevor: Welcome to the Miles Sanders show -- Sanders rushes for 100+ and receives for 100+ in his first game back from injury. The Eagles bounce back thanks to Lane Johnson also being in the lineup. 23-21 Eagles
Paul: Carson Wentz will have two touchdown passes and 250 yards. Miles Sanders will ease back into the lineup with just 10 carries. Final score Rams 20-Eagles 17
Gianfranco: Both Miles Sanders and Boston Scott rush for 110+ yards, and the duo will combine for three total touchdowns.
