The Giant Killer is back for another season in Philadelphia, as Boston Scott has re-signed with the Eagles for 2023.
He has found his niche in Philly as a rotational piece of the backfield as a jack of all trades.
Scott’s 10 career rushing touchdowns against the Giants are tied for the 5th-most by any player against the Giants. behind only HOFer Emmitt Smith (21), HOFer Leroy Kelly (14), HOFer Jim Brown (12), and Larry Brown (12). He only has six touchdowns against every other team combined.
It seems like the Eagles backfield is set with Rashaad Penny, Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott, and Trey Sermon. There’s a chance the Eagles could use a Day 3 pick in the draft or sign a UDFA RB to compete with Sermon for the 4th spot, especially since Penny is injury prone and the Eagles might need an additional RB to rotate in.
