It's been a busy last few days in the Eagles front office. Howie Roseman has been making some cap space so he can be active in Free Agency, which starts next Wednesday.
The cap space frenzy started in February, when Rodney McLeod agreed to restructure his contract. Then this past week there has been a frenzy of moves, as Lane Johnsonalso restructured his contract, and Roseman has signed three players to extensions: Brandon Graham, Jason Kelceand Isaac Seumalo.
The details of the new contracts finally came out yesterday, and they show just how great of a general manager Howie Roseman is.
First, Jason Kelce will barely be a blip on the cap space radar in 2019.
Next, Isaac Seumalo agreed to what is probably the most team-friendly contract in history, as he is no locked in through his prime with relatively cheap numbers.
Finally, Lane Johnson will have a team friendly deal in 2019, but his cap figures will almost double in 2020.
Brandon Graham's official contract breakdown hasn't come out yet, but we do know it's a three-year, $40 Million deal.
With Free Agency just around the corner, Howie Roseman isn't done with trying to set up the team even better for the offseason. We'll likely hear at least one or two more team updates before the free agent frenzy next Wednesday.
