Carson Wentz has been practicing in full for several weeks and fans have been anxious for his return.
Eagles coach Doug Pederson announced during his day-after news conference that Wentz has been medically cleared for contact and will start in Sunday’s home game against the Colts.
"I'm excited to get him back out there. But at the same time, it's not about one guy, and we can't lose sight of that."
Pederson also acknowledged that the tempo of a game differs from practice and that he was hopeful their efforts to simulate game-like conditions were effective.
"He's going to be prepared mentally. Now it's just a matter of the physical part taking over."
Sunday will mark Wentz’s first game appearance since he tore his ACL and LCL last season in Week 14 against the Rams.
