CFB Four Performers: Week 1

Ah, College Football is OFFICIALLY back! That means the NFL draft is a short 7 months away. Each week we will bring you four names to keep an eye on, that would make sense for the Eagles in April. (Keep an eye out for these Sunday mornings.) This week gave us what we all wanted to see; skill positions. It is also fitting, given the fact that Ajayi, Sproles, and Agholar are all pending free agents in 2019. Let’s get into it.

Jalin Moore | RB App State | Sr.

In the almost-upset of the season, Jalin Moore got a chance to showcase his skills against a ranked opponent. Moore ran well against PSU, with 18 carries for 88yds, including 5 catches for 36 yards. Moore has gone somewhat under the radar during his career at a school that recently made its way into the FBS. His strength (squats 650lbs) and speed (4.37 40) will ensure his name is called in April 2019. Reminds me of a recent Penn State RB with those kind of measurables.

Tyre Brady | WR Marshall | Sr.

We wrote about Tyre before the season, and Brady showed up Saturday; with 9 catches for 116 yds and 2 TDs. Given that Agholar is a free agent at the end of the season, and Alshon tagged as injury prone, Howie and Joe may opt to take a WR on day 1 or day 2. Eagles fans, keep an eye on Tyre Brady.

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown | WR Oklahoma | Jr

Brown is another guy the Eagles may take a look at if they decide to address the WR position in the 2019 Draft. Brown has similar size to another Eagle great, Desean Jackson. He even plays like him too. “Hollywood” Brown reeled in 6 passes for 133 yards and a TD, against FAU enroute to a brutal beat down. Oh yeah, he also mossed an FAU corner. Reminder: Brown is 5’10. Forward to 0:40 in the video for that play.

Greg Little | LT Ole Miss | So.

Little is a big tackle who played very well against a Texas Tech defense that was ‘supposed’ to look better this year. Albeit it was a week one performance, Little helped keep Ta’aamu clean and opened holes for Scottie Phillips to rush for 200+ yards. Little will be facing the rest of the SEC this season, so we will get a better look at his potential as the season ages.
