Connor Barwin Preparing to Play For Eagles in 2019

Former Eagle Connor Barwin has had a hard time finding a home in the NFL since the Eagles released him in 2017. First he made a one-year stop with the Los Angeles Rams. Then after he was released by them, he joined the New York Giants in 2018. Now he finds himself without a team, but Barwin sees himself playing for Philadelphia in 2019.

Barwin went on Sirius XM NFL Radio to talk with Mark Dominik about his future, and he told Dominik that he is preparing to possibly join the Eagles as a depth option at defensive end.

This isn't the first time Barwin has mentioned his possible return to the Eagles. A few weeks ago he mentioned that he was talking with Howie Roseman about the possibility. Barwin weighed 255lbs last season (according to NFL.com), so he's already put on 15lbs to help with his transition back to a true defensive end.

If the Eagles do bring Barwin back, we won't hear about it for a few more weeks. Like Alex Marvez said, Howie Roseman will watch the young players practice for a few weeks before potentially pulling the trigger on a Barwin return.
