DeAndre Carter Fulfills Promise to His Late Brother

For the first time in his NFL career, WR DeAndre Carter is on a 53-man roster, and was active for a game. He wasn't just an active player that stayed on the sidelines the whole game, he was actually the team's main slot receiver throughout the opener against the Falcons.

When he took the field last night, he finally fulfilled a promise he made to his brother: that he would play in the NFL. His brother, Kaylan, died due to an enlarged heart. When Kaylan was in the hospital, DeAndre told him he would live out their dream for the both of them.

It was easy to root for Carter before this story came out, but now that we know he is living out his childhood dream as well as his brother's, Carter will be a guy to always root for.
