We have known this for a while now, but Doug Pederson is a pretty gutsy coach. His bold choices came to fruition during Super Bowl LII, where he called the "Philly Special" on 4th-and-1 on the goal-line just before halftime.
Yesterday some information was released by the NFL, where they rated the aggressiveness of each coach in the league over the last 10 seasons. They rated their aggressiveness by how often the coach went for it on 4th-and-1, and Doug Pederson finds himself 2nd in the NFL over the last 10 years in that category.
There are times where Pederson's aggressiveness has come back to bite him, but that mentality all of last season is what led to the Lombardi Trophy being brought back to Philadelphia for the first time ever, so fans can't really complain too much when it doesn't work out.
With the Eagles 2018 season currently riding on Sunday's critical game against the Cowboys, there's sure to be some scenarios where Pederson will need to go with his gut and call some bold plays to keep the Eagles' playoff hopes alive.
