Eagles Are Bringing Back Vinny Curry

Writer's picture: Andrew W.Andrew W.

The Eagles are bringing back a familiar face, as they have reportedly signed defensive end Vinny Curry on a one-year deal.

Curry made things official when he uploaded this video to his Instagram a few hours ago.

Curry will provide some depth for the defensive line, and some familiarity as he already knows Jim Schwartz's system. Before signing with Tampa Bay last season, he played 84 games with the Eagles, recording 131 tackles, 22 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, 63 QB hits and five forced fumbles.

This move shouldn't prevent the Eagles from addressing the defensive line in the draft. If anything, the might impact Chris Long's willingness to come back for a final season, as he has made it known he wants a decent amount of snaps each game and not just be a veteran locker room presence or bench guy.
