With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the NFL's Crucial Catch partnership with the American Cancer Association has been going out and finding cancer patients who are fighting for their lives, and trying to bring smiles to their faces in various ways. Local Eagles fan Kelly Thomas was one of the few patients that were chosen for their special surprise.
Crucial Catch invited Thomas and her spouse to spend a day at the NovaCare Complex for a tour of the Eagles' training facility. When Thomas walked into the complex, she was greeted by Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Foles gave her a tour of the facility, which included an up-close look at the team's Lombardi Trophy. Before the visit was over, Foles told Thomas that she and her husband are being invited to watch Super Bowl LIII live down in Atlanta. Foles also took the jersey off his back and signed it before giving it to Thomas as one-last present.
