Eagles Have Highest Overall Team Rating in Madden NFL 20

If you've drifted away from playing Madden in recent years, this year might be your excuse to get back into it. EA Sports released all player and team rating for this year's edition of the game, and the Philadelphia Eagles have come in with the best team rating with an 89 overall rating.

Here's what EA had to say about the best team in this year's game:

"The Eagles check into Madden 20 with five players at 90 OVRs or better, and two with 89 OVRs. Five of those seven players are either on the offensive or defensive line, which goes to show how important it is in Madden to have strong fronts on both sides of the ball. The guys in the trenches don’t get the glamour of skill position players, but they do the dirty work. Guys like DT Fletcher Cox (96 OVR), C Jason Kelce (94 OVR), RG Brandon Brooks (90 OVR) RT Lane Johnson (89 OVR), and RE Brandon Graham (89 OVR) anchor this Philly roster, creating and protecting for the rest of the squad." 

Not only the Eagles have some of the best overall players in the game, but they are also set for the future with their rookies earning high ratings. Miles Sanders is tied for the second-highest rookie running back rating with a 72 overall. JJ Arcega-Whiteside has the fourth-highest rookie wide receiver rating with a 73 overall.

Here's their report on Sanders:

"The Penn State product finds himself in a crowded backfield in Philadelphia, as he’ll compete for snaps with Jordan Howard, Corey Clement, and Josh Adams among others. Mile Sanders has a good 89 Speed rating reflecting his 4.49 forty-yard-dash time to go along with an 83 Juke Move rating."

EA's report on Arcega-Whiteside should also get fans excited:

"Not the fastest, nor the most agile of the top rookie WRs in Madden 20, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside’s various catching ratings are tops in the class. His 89 Spectacular Catch rating and 87 Catch In Traffic rating separate the Stanford standout from the other rookie receivers." 

For the first time since the Michael Vick-LeSean McCoy-DeSean Jackson days, the Eagles might be the go to team to play with for Madden fans across the country. Madden NFL 20 will be available to play on August 2nd.
