With draft season now in full swing, pro day's are becoming more and more important. Remember a few years ago, Johnny Manziel was a fringe 1st-round draft pick before having an astonishing pro-day, where he threw in pads. The Eagles recently attended Wyoming's pro day, and spoke with safety Andrew Wingard. You may remember that name from a pre-season article written where we highlighted potential fits for the team before the start of the 2018 season.
Wingard is an interesting prospect, because he is a tackling machine. Wingard, who really looks like Clay Matthews on the field, ranked 11th all-time for total tackles in FBS history. The safety from Wyoming has day three status written all over him (currently projected as a 6th-round draft pick), but will definitely make a roster and name for himself as a special teams ace.
