The Alliance of American Football has brought the Eagles two players. First the team signed quarterback Luis Perez, and now they are bringing back a familiar name in wide receiver Greg Ward.
Ward has been around in Philadelphia since 2017, spending that season on the practice squad. In 2018 he returned to the training camp roster, but failed to earn a spot on the 53-man roster again. He decided to head to the AAF to start 2019, and he ended up becoming one of the better receivers in the league, finishing T-12th in receptions (22), and 21st in receiving yards (214). He also was one of only a few players to return a punt for a touchdown.
He now becomes the 11th receiver currently on the Eagles roster. He'll have long odds to make the 2019 Eagles, but the tape he added in the AAF will certainly help his case.
