Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He has been greatly influenced by Nipsey Hussle, the late rapper who was gunned down last month in L.A.
To honor the slain rapper, Jackson says he will wear custom cleats with Hussle painted on the side during this upcoming season.
Now the NFL only allows special cleats during its "My Cleats, My Cause" charitable campaign that comes later in the season. He would be okay to wear them for that week, but the rest of the games he would want to wear them he could face a fine. However, if he only wears them for practice and warmups he should be all clear of possible fines. Odell Beckham Jr. is infamous for wearing custom cleats during warmups, and never faced any fines for them.
