The Eagles usually are a team that stays away from "small schools" in the NFL draft. Outside of last year with Dallas Goedert (South Dakota State), the only other times in recent memory the Eagles drafted a guy from a small school was Clay Harbor (Missouri State) back in 2010 and Bryan Smith (McNeese State) in 2008. The team could make a splash by grabbing Elon University's star prospect, Oliver Udoh, who the team reportedly brought to the NovaCare Complex.
Oli Udoh| OT | 6’5, 323 lbs| Sr.
Udoh doesn't have the agility or quickness the Eagles like at their offensive tackle positions, but his pure power is what will intrigue them into possibly taking a flyer on him. Udoh still needs a lot of work to be done before he can take the field and have confidence in him to perform well and not get his QB killed, so he would likely fall into the same category of Jordan Mailata where he is drafted and stashed away his rookie year. The interest is real for the Eagles with Udoh, as they also had a scout watching him at his pro day last month.
