Miles Sanders reunites with his former RBs coach Duce Staley in Carolina, as he is signing a deal with the Panthers.
It was inevitable that Sanders would be leaving, especially after the Eagles signed Rashaad Penny and kept Boston Scott.
He leaves the Eagles accumulating 3,708 rushing yards (8th in franchise history) and 20 rushing touchdowns (T-12th in franchise history). He also has three of the 10 longest runs in Eagles history — a 74-yard run against the Ravens in 2020, a 74-yard TD against the Steelers in 2020, and an 82-yard TD against the Saints in 2020.
As of now, the Eagles have four running backs on the roster: Rashaad Penny, Boston Scott, Kenny Gainwell, and Trey Sermon. There’s still a chance the Eagles could take a running back in the draft, if not there will likely be a UDFA or two signed after the draft to compete for a roster spot.
