Rasul Douglas Offers to Switch Positions to Help Team

Updated: Apr 30, 2019

With Rodney McLeod most likely out for the rest of the season, the team has suddenly found itself in desperate need of a Safety. Corey Graham will most likely take snaps McLeod was on the field for, but Graham was already playing more than half of the game anyway with his role as the 3rd safety. So now the team needs someone to take Graham's snaps. 2017 3rd round pick Rasul Douglas is willing to do whatever it takes to repeat as Super Bowl Champions, and has made it known if the team wants to move him from cornerback to safety, that he would be open to it.

The defensive tackle idea might not work, but the move to safety could actually help the defense out.

It has long been mentioned by NFL media and analysts that both Douglas and CB Jalen Mills' playing styles are much better suited for the safety position. If defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is on board with the idea, we might just get a look at what Douglas can bring to the table in a new role.
