RUMOR: Eagles "Sniffing Around" on Janoris Jenkins and Gareon Conley

Writer's picture: Andrew W.Andrew W.

The Eagles seem to be all-in on acquiring a Cornerback before the trade deadline. So far they have been linked to Patrick Peterson, Chris Harris Jr. and Bradley Roby. Now a new rumor has surfaced that the team is looking at two more Cornerbacks: Janoris Jenkins of the New York Giants and Gareon Conley of the Oakland Raiders.

This isn't the first time the Eagles have shown interest in both of these players. The Eagles brought both players in for pre-draft visits in 2012 (Jenkins) and 2017 (Conley).

If either one can be brought in for a low-to-mid round draft pick, Howie Roseman will certainly pull the trigger to bring one in. If he had his choice between the two, it's likely Conley would be the better option to bring in. Jenkins is under contract until 2020 at a ~$15 Million cap hit. Conley is under contract through 2020 at a cap hit of ~$3 Million.
