Vinny Curry Took Hometown Discount to Come Back to Philly

Writer's picture: Andrew W.Andrew W.

Earlier today, the Eagles brought back Vinny Curry on a one-year deal. The $2.25 Million deal seemed like a discount, considering he signed a three-year, $23 million deal just last year with the Tamp Bay Buccaneers. It seems like a discount because it turns out it was a discount, as Curry revealed he had a bigger offer elsewhere.

The Cincinnati Bengals did bring him in for a visit, but he left without signing a contract.Giants beat reporter Jordan Raanan also said the Giants offered Curry a contract worth more money. Curry grew up an Eagles fan in Neptune, New Jersey, and he made it clear today that he wanted to be back home in midnight green. Now the last thing that needs to be done is getting back his #75 from Josh Sweat, and he confirmed he is in the process of obtaining his former number.
