Zach Ertz Named NFLPA Week 5 Community MVP

Writer's picture: Andrew W.Andrew W.

Zach Ertz has been playing like an All-Pro Tight End through the first six games of the season. He is currently on pace to catch 128 passes this season, which would smash the current Eagles single-season receptions record. He had a touchdown on Thursday night against the Giants, and then he ended up scoring big off the field this weekend, when he was announced as the NFLPA Week 5 Community MVP.

"Zach Ertz has been named Week 5 NFLPA Community MVP for donating $80,000 to Mission of Hope: Haiti to create the Ertz Family Foundation Haiti Scholarship Program. This initiative will provide full scholarships to orphaned graduating high school students living in Haiti."

As long as Ertz continues making an impact both on the field and off the field, he'll be considered a MVP by Eagles fans, and by all Philadelphians.
